Tuesday, January 31, 2023 - 13:33. Tucked away on the southside of the Oberbaumbrücke, at the foot of a bridge that used to straddle a once divided city, lies Watergate. It's a small venue, easy to miss if you're not on the lookout, but the club turned 20 late last year and continues to occupy a unique space in Berlin's underground.

Watergate was among the clubs I was anxious to test, so I did. Upon arrival we saw quite a long que to get in. Seeing this was one of the major clubs in town, we decided to wait. Once we arrived close to the entrance we noticed several groups being refused.. This is a disgrace not only for the bar but the entire Berlin city. Read more.

Watergate is a split-level, two-room club overlooking the River Spree in Berlin's Kreuzberg neighbourhood. Located on the river's edge with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, it offers a panoramic view of the Spree with curtains that can let the daylight in as the club night winds down.
